Sharing enviable moments with others doesn’t just invite resentment – it turns you into an actor. You become enslaved to the idea of constantly projecting your “happy” life, even when it’s not really happy.
You start enjoying the fake love and applause from people around you, and it fuels you to outperform your last show, creating a vicious cycle of endless performances. Once you jump on the bandwagon, there’s no getting down.
Then someday, if you’re wise enough, you will realize that in this whole process, you forgot who you’re living your life for. You ended up becoming a puppet, entertaining the masses, including strangers, for nothing.
You blame social media for this entire fiasco.
But let’s take a step back and ask – why did you share that first moment in the first place?
To seek love or envy?
